We provided this company with a creative new e-commerce website to help them to start selling online.
The objective
Moonstone approached us to help them create an online e-commerce platform to reach a wider audience. The project involved creating a bespoke website design built using WordPress and WooCommerce.
What we did
When Moonstone approached us they had recently worked on new book cover designs, which formed the basis of the bespoke website design. Using elements from the books, we created a theatrical style website with parallax effects and large imagery sections to show of the beautiful covers.
Keeping the look and feel clean and minimal was a key factor in the design. We also created areas to showcase the authors of the books that were on sale allowing Moonstone to give a back story to their products.
Results
Creating the website gave Moonstone a platform to start selling their books from their own platform rather than relying on major retailers. We continue to work with Moonstone keeping the website ticking over and helping out with ongoing maintenance.

Q: What was your favourite part of the project?
I really enjoyed working on Moonstone Press. The project was a very creative process and I wanted the designs from the book covers to come to life in the design.
Q: What were your reasons for adding animation using parallax effects?
Parallax has been around for a while in web development. It is a great tool to use when you want to add a bit of animation to the site. It can be overused so we made sure we were restrained with it!
