WCD was established in 2011 by Dean, after he achieved a first class degree in Multimedia Technology and Design and spent a year working at Mediatonic, a London-based games development agency. As Managing Director but also our lead backend developer, Dean is looking to expand WCD further after growing slowly to build up a strong client base and a wide range of capabilities. As a result of the alarmingly regular enquiries about themes and replacing websites that don’t work for clients, Dean is determined to show what web development can achieve when it is bespoke and solution-led.

Anna is a Director at WCD, managing the business and leading on communications and content. With a background in politics and policy, she spent six years working for communication agencies, specialising in healthcare policy and PR and working on websites for international campaigns. Now she produces designs, provides all of our copywriting and manages all of our accounts. She is a Parish Councillor and a trustee of local charities.

Russ has been working in the industry for over 10 years and has a wide range of skills from development to SEO. He has designed for small to international companies such as Greene King, P&O Ferries and Starbucks. He puts the user experience at the front of every website he creates so that the user journey is intuitive and accessible to all. He likes to get involved in all aspects of our projects, allowing him to be on hand to help from the initial concept conversations to launch.

Chris is a junior developer, working on both the frontend and backend of websites. As a full-stack developer he is able to see the whole picture when producing websites and he takes a meticulous approach to everything he does.

Steven began his career within the automotive industry. He started out as a Web Specialist, but moved into taking on responsibility for digital marketing and SEO. Now our head of SEO, he also loves working with PHP and expanding his knowledge of software including Magento. His passion is understanding how technology works and how it can be used to provide solutions.
He likes unusual desserts, lego and aeroplanes.
Working as a Junior Marketing & SEO Executive, Christian puts his English degree to good use producing content and understanding how communication and language can be tailored to increase a website’s visibility. He manages all of our social media and is confident in taking on different tones and voices across specific sectors and clients.

As Chief Barketing Officer, Cookie has a vital job looking after team morale. His specialist skills include ‘paw’ and ‘twirl’. He can generally be found right behind someone’s chair as he loves company. A Cotonoodle (half Coton De Tulear and half poodle), Cookie is hypoallergenic and often described as ‘ooooh soft like a cloud’ by people who pet him.
