A local web agency with fifteen years experience.

There are key benefits in working with a locally based team. We have proven experience to work with very large organisations on highly complex websites and digital tools while offering key benefits such as easy regular face-to-face meetings, better setup for workshops and training and more opportunities for local networking and collaborative support.

We recently partnered with We Create Digital to take over the management of our aging website and other brand sites, and we couldn’t be more impressed. From day 1 they quickly addressed and resolved issues proactively that had been plaguing us for months. The team is friendly, reactive and full of problem solvers who have gone above and beyond to identify issues swiftly but also get to the root cause. Their ability to deliver quick and reliable fixes has given us immense peace of mind. Highly recommend their services!

The team at We Create are great at what they do. The high quality of their work and attention to detail has helped with our first steps in our growth plans. I look forward to completing our ongoing projects as well as starting new ones with them in the future!
Adil Sheikh
Head of Product, Smart Money People
We Create Digital have done a fantastic job with my website since they took it over. They did a complete review and made lots of recommendations - not just about security but also usability both for myself and my customers, design and DPR. Their recommendations are always clear, considered and executed on a timely basis. If i want any changes they work hard to understand my requirements, suggest options and ensure I am happy with the proposed changes and am always clear on the cost and timeline before proceeding. They have my full confidence, I feel my website is in safe hands and I couldn't recommend them more highly.

I've worked with WCD for the last 18 months and would highly recommend WCD to any business who need care and attention from their suppliers. They're knowledge and experience has been key to the success of the projects we've worked on together and the experience has been second to none! A great team with great work, who should pat themselves on the back more often.

We are based in Essex and have worked with organisations including Essex County Council, Tendring District Council and Braintree District Council.

FAQs.

A local web design agency in Essex makes sense if you value meeting in person for workshops, design reviews and training, or want a partner who understands the local market. Location matters less than track record, so choose an Essex agency on the strength of its portfolio, reviews and the support it offers after launch.

Meeting face to face is most useful at the start of a project, when discovery workshops shape the whole website, and at handover, when your team learns to manage it. A local agency can also visit your premises to understand how your business works, which helps with content and user journeys. Ask any Essex agency for examples of work with organisations like yours, and whether you can speak to existing local clients. Independent reviews on Google and Clutch are typically more reliable than testimonials on an agency’s own website.

We Create Digital is based in Coggeshall and has worked with Essex organisations including Essex County Council, Tendring District Council and The Cheap Shop Tiptree. Arrange a meeting at our office or yours.

A web design agency in Essex best suits businesses that need a range of skills, such as UX, design, development, accessibility and SEO, or that rely on their website day to day and need dependable support. A freelance web designer can suit a small website with a smaller budget and simple requirements, however may not suit a larger business.

An agency brings designers, developers and project managers together, so knowledge isn’t held by one person and support continues through holidays and absences. Whichever you choose, make sure you own the code, design files, domain and hosting accounts, so you can move on without starting again.

We Create Digital is a team of designers, developers and project managers, all permanent members of our UK-based team. Find out more about how we work or meet the team.

When choosing an ecommerce web design agency in Essex, look for a portfolio of online shops that are live and trading, experience with platforms such as WooCommerce, Magento or Shopify, and an understanding of checkout, payments and stock management. Ask how the agency improves conversion rates, because a good-looking shop that doesn’t convert costs sales.

Ecommerce websites need more than good design. They need fast page speeds, a smooth checkout, secure payment gateway integration and product data that’s easy for your team to manage. They also need technical SEO so products appear in search. Payments should be handled by a provider such as Stripe or PayPal, so card details never touch your website. If you sell to customers in the EU, your shop may also need to meet the European Accessibility Act. Ask any agency about ongoing support too, because online shops need regular updates to stay secure.

We Create Digital builds ecommerce websites on WooCommerce and Magento, including the redesign and rebuild for The Cheap Shop Tiptree.

To get an affordable website from a web design agency in Essex, agree a first phase that covers the pages and features your business needs at launch, and add the rest later. Supplying your own content and photography also reduces costs. Choosing a well-supported platform such as WordPress keeps both build and maintenance costs manageable.

A phased build spreads the cost and lets real visitor data guide what you add next, rather than paying up front for features that may never be used. Be cautious of very cheap quotes. They often mean a template site with lock-in contracts, hosting you don’t control or no support after launch, which costs more to fix later. Check whether you’ll own the website and domain, as we explain in be in control of your domain name. Essex businesses can also check BEST Growth Hub for funding or support programmes currently available.

We Create Digital works to the budget each client has, and can scope a first phase that gets you online quickly. Tell us your budget and goals and we’ll suggest a realistic plan.

Yes. A web design agency in Essex that offers SEO and AEO can build search visibility into your website from the start. That means fast pages, a clear structure, strong local signals and content that answers your customers’ questions, so your business can rank in Google and be recommended by AI tools such as ChatGPT and Google’s AI Overviews.

Local rankings in Google depend on relevance, distance and prominence. Those are shaped by your Google Business Profile, your reviews, local mentions and consistent name, address and phone details across the web. AI tools work in a similar way. They favour businesses whose websites give clear, well-structured answers and whose details are corroborated by trusted sources such as directories, local press and review sites. Structured data and well-written FAQs make your pages easier to extract and cite, as we explain in writing FAQs for AI Overviews and LLMs. Building these foundations in during design is far cheaper than retrofitting them after launch.

We Create Digital provides SEO, AEO and GEO alongside web design, so visibility is part of the build rather than an afterthought. Find out how visible your organisation is in AI search, or get in touch to discuss your website.

Yes. We provide fully managed hosting and can recommend the right setup based on your website, traffic, and long-term goals. Our hosting is delivered through UK datacentres that use clean, renewable energy, giving you fast performance with a lower environmental impact.

Leaving your hosting to us, a local Essex web agency, to manage means you never have to worry about spending time on the phone to customer service. We manage your website hosting for you, helping to keep your site up and working, generating enquiries, leads or sales.
