City & Hackney Mind.

A London-based mental health charity supporting people with mental health challenges through free courses and community groups.

A young girl with long braided hair smiles at the camera while standing against a lush green wall of leaves. She wears a plain white T-shirt and has a confident expression. To the right, there is a large, white abstract graphic resembling a tangled line drawing, overlapping the greenery. The overall atmosphere is vibrant and cheerful.

Project Overview.

Client: City & Hackney Mind

City & Hackney Mind required a new website to effectively promote their mental health support groups and courses. We developed a WordPress site with an integrated calendar, making event promotion straightforward. The platform enables the team to update content and manage events independently, ensuring they can reach those in need while keeping operational costs low.

Our goal was to create an accessible, easy-to-manage website that showcased their services. WordPress was the ideal choice for its user-friendly interface, allowing staff to handle content and calendar updates without external support. This frees up resources for their core programmes rather than website maintenance.

  • A woman is looking at the screen smiling, with the sun setting in the background, making her hair glow. She appears to be in a field.
  • A young man with glasses sits in a grey armchair, facing a table with a notebook and pen in a softly lit room. He appears thoughtful, with his hands resting on his knees. The background features a glass wall displaying the text "Mind | City and Hackney" in a handwritten style. The overall atmosphere is calm and introspective, with a monochrome colour scheme enhancing the mood.
  • An abstract image featuring smooth, flowing curves in varying shades of dark green and black. The curves create a sense of depth and movement, with some areas appearing glossy and reflective. The background is predominantly dark, enhancing the fluid shapes that weave and overlap, creating a dynamic visual effect. The overall composition conveys a sense of elegance and tranquility.
  • A woman walks along a country road at sunrise, with her arms on her head wearing an orange sweatshirt, orange trainers and black trousers. The sun is glowing against her outline.
  • A birds eye view of waves crashing against a rocky coastline
  • A man stands inside a tunnel that has panels running along it with different lights, showing rainbow colours. He is wearing a light t shirt, shorts, socks and trainers. He has a camera aroudn his neck and is looking at the camera screen.

Building the mental health charity website.

We designed a WordPress website with a built-in calendar, allowing City & Hackney Mind to promote mental health courses and groups effectively. WordPress’s intuitive CMS enables staff to update the site without technical skills, ensuring sustainable management of events and resources. Recognising their budget constraints as a charity, we provided a cost-effective solution, reinforcing our commitment to helping organisations with a social impact. This platform has strengthened their ability to connect with those who need their services most.

We continue to maintain the site, supporting the team with any ad hoc requests and providing secure and sustainable hosting.

Some of our other work.

A simple, white light bulb illustration with rays emanating from the top, set against a solid black background. The light bulb is outlined clearly, featuring a classic shape with a rounded top and a narrow base. The rays, drawn as short lines, suggest illumination and creativity. The overall design is minimalistic and conveys a sense of inspiration and ideas.
